The Career Center hosts a variety of on campus and virtual events such as Alumni Week, panels, presentations and more. These programs allow you to connect directly with students, faculty, and other alumni. Take a moment to express your interest in any of our engagement opportunities by filling out an interest form.

Internships are powerful career development experiences, but the cost to students is significant. Externships and job shadowing programs also require students to pay travel and living expenses. As a result, too many students find themselves unable to participate. The Boundless campaign vision is to provide all students with access to these invaluable learning experiences.

Through the Boundless campaign, the College will continue to expand and strengthen The Muhlenberg Network, securing even more career allies for our students. In addition, $2.5 million in new career-readiness funding will increase current Career Center programming and provide internship, travel and living stipends so that these transformational, career-focused learning experiences will be within reach for every Muhlenberg student.

Are you an expert in your field? Share your knowledge with fellow Mules. Your area of expertise might relate to your career field, your educational background or life experiences. Speakers might be used in our 2400 Chew podcast series, during alumni week or connected individually to students for informational interviews. Through activities ranging from mentoring to career-advancing internships to job-shadowing road trips, students explore industries and professions and discover the real-world relevance of their classroom learning with the support of the Muhlenberg Network. 

Road Trips - Each year, the Career Center's Career Road Trips program takes students to visit companies and network with alumni in a variety of industries. Generous alumni host a group of students at their workplaces for a half day of learning. Hosting requires setting up a few hours of on-site activity. A group visit usually includes interacting with professionals from the organization, expert panels, interactive case studies and more. 

Externships – The Muhlenberg Externship Program allows students to observe jobs/positions of interest by shadowing a professional in person and being exposed to their work environment and daily work life.

It is important that our students utilize the skills they have accumulated and put them into action. As an alumni, you can host a student at your place of work for a limited amount of time to provide a more in-depth experience for students by involving them in projects, research and similar endeavors. This allows students to apply their skills and experience what it’s like to actively participate in a given field of work.
