In many ways, film now dominates the media landscape. This means it’s an exciting time to pursue work as a film expert.
Many of our students take industry jobs spanning all aspects of film and media production. Some apply their skills to advertising, online work, festivals, education or other fields. Recent graduates have secured jobs as assistant directors, camera operators, production assistants, video producers and educators. They work for organizations and companies including NBC Universal, Tribeca Film Festival, regional PBS channels, Blue Ridge Communications, Accademia dell’arte in Italy and many more.
Each spring, we bring alumni to campus to network with students during Alumni Week. These visits often lead directly to jobs for students.
Some graduates pursue advanced degrees in film studies, production or related fields at institutions including Emory University, Seton Hall University, University of Wisconsin-Madison and Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
