for Dance Concert Auditions

Aug. 23, 2024 — Mark your calendars for these dance production auditions, all happening in the next two weeks! You'll receive separate audition call emails early next week.

In order to audition for these dance concerts, you must be enrolled in a dance technique course in the fall semester. It does not need to be in the same style as the piece for which you are auditioning. MCDC community dance courses in Tap or Ballet do fulfill this requirement.

All of these concerts rehearse mainly or entirely in the fall semester. You may participate (as a dancer or choreographer) in a maximum of TWO dance pieces per concert, and a maximum of FOUR dance pieces among these three concerts. If you are selected as Associate Artistic Director for any concert, you may participate in two pieces as a performer or choreographer (but not in the concert for which you're AAD).

In Motion

A spectacular showcase for tour-de-force choreography by Muhlenberg's acclaimed dance faculty and renowned guest artists. Featuring new works by faculty members Heidi Cruz-Austin (ballet), Karen Dearborn (ballet), Noel Price-Bracey (modern), and Robyn Watson (tap), and guest artists Kyle Clark (hip-hop) and David Dorfman (modern). Artistic Director: Karen Dearborn.

Thursday, Aug. 29, 5-7 pm — modern
