Program Overview

In today’s dynamic health care industry, there is an increasing need for skilled leaders with both industry expertise and business acumen. The master’s in medical leadership (MML) program prepares you to drive innovation, ensure quality access to care and improve patient outcomes. We are building the future leaders who will lead the transformation of the US healthcare system.

Designed for a wide range of health care professionals, including physicians, clinicians, nurses, industry leaders, allied health professionals (including those in the health plan and health consultants industries) and administators, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the structure, operations and financing of the U.S. health care system while developing your personal leadership identity. You’ll also build a valuable network of peers and faculty, across hospitals, health plans, medical technology firms, physician groups, pharmaceutical and advisory organizations and more, opening doors to new career opportunities and lasting professional connections.

Program Structure

  • Duration
    The program consists of ten courses, each running for eight weeks. Students can anticipate completing the program in 21 months.

  • Learning Modality
    Executive format - online, synchronous courses with an in-person weekend seminar in the fall and spring semesters featuring special guest speakers, in-depth and hands on learning and networking opportunities.

Admission Requirements 

Applicants should have an advanced degree and at least two years of health care experience or related work experience. Applicants without an advanced degree should have five years of experience in health care.
