From all of us at Muhlenberg College, we are excited to welcome you to the Class of 2028 this fall. By June 1, please work through all of the items listed below. This will help you and your advisor be optimally prepared for your time together during summer advising.
Explore options for your First-Year Seminar—small, discussion-oriented courses for first-year students with opportunities to work closely with faculty. Create a list of your top 8 choices and bring it with you to summer advising.
First-year students have the opportunity to select courses from a wide range of programs offered at Muhlenberg. Follow this link and read the course descriptions prior to your advising session. Select 5 or 6 courses that you will discuss with your summer advisor.
Workday is Muhlenberg’s student information system, where you will do everything from course registration to updating your personal information. Prior to Summer Advising, you must complete the New Student onboarding tasks. These tasks will be live on May 16.
Math and language placement tests ensure that you will be in classes appropriate for your level of knowledge and experience before your advising day. The chemistry exam ensures placement in the correct level for students who are considering prehealth and/or a major in the natural sciences. You will not be able to register for Math, Language, or Chemistry courses without first taking these placement exams.
For students with interest in music ensembles and/or music lessons, please complete this form by June 1. The information you provide will be used for placement in ensembles and/or individual applied lessons.
