In Culture, Conflict and Community Development in South Africa, students explored the connections between religion, socio-political changes and economic opportunities and challenges in South Africa. It was co-developed and co-taught by Senior Lecturer of Religion Studies Sharon Albert and Associate Professor of Economics Ranajoy Ray-Chaudhuri.
Over winter break, Albert and Ray-Chaudhuri accompanied students on a two-week trip to Cape Town, South Africa. There, students were encouraged to post pictures and comments on a class Instagram account, @capetownmules. Here are a handful of images and insights shared during their experience.
