Photos by Marco CalderonEnthusiastic students, faculty and staff explored the new Fahy Commons for Public Engagement and Innovation during yesterday’s campus-only open house. With sweeping views of Cedar Beach Park and Lake Muhlenberg, the learning facility is one of the first 20 building projects of its kind worldwide. It collects rainwater, produces energy, provides a healthy indoor environment and promotes collaboration and engagement among campus members, alumni and the local and global community.
A larger public celebration is planned for April and details will be announced during the Spring 2023 semester.
A key priority of the Boundless campaign, the building was made possible thanks to a gift from Gerald P. Fahy ’79 and Cathleen A. Fahy, the largest personal gift in Muhlenberg College history.
