Muhlenberg College has been recognized for its excellence in several areas in the latest rankings from The Princeton Review. It was named one of the Best 390 Colleges in the nation, based on student ratings. Only about 15 percent of institutions in the country made this list.

Additionally, the College is ranked #6 on the Best College Theater list, which is based on student ratings of campus productions. The Department of Theatre & Dance presents five or more theatre productions and several dance concerts each year, ranging from experimental blackbox dramas to Broadway-style musicals. Shows by the Muhlenberg Theatre Association and more than 20 student-run performance ensembles — everything from a cappella to hip-hop to circus performance — add to the College’s vibrant performing arts scene.

The College is ranked #12 on the national Best Campus Food list (and #1 for food among Pennsylvania colleges and universities), which is also based on student ratings. Muhlenberg Dining has been consistently recognized for its quality, earning the top spot for college food in Pennsylvania from 2020 through 2024, according to Niche. Dining’s recent changes on campus include a revamped Life Sports Center Cafe with new smoothies and sandwiches and a vending machine that sells fresh food outside the cafe’s operating hours as well as the addition of a personal pizza restaurant and new grill menu items at the General’s Quarters.

Student feedback also helped place Muhlenberg on the Best Mid-Atlantic list. Muhlenberg’s inclusion on the Green Colleges list was determined by a combination of student feedback and institutional data regarding sustainability. Muhlenberg recently earned a STARS Gold rating in recognition of its sustainability achievements from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. In April, Muhlenberg's newest academic building, the Fahy Commons for Public Engagement and Innovation, became the first project in the world to achieve Core Living Building Certification. Also, earlier this year, Muhlenberg and eight other institutions joined forces to bring a cutting-edge, large-scale solar facility online.
