Student Clubs and Organization
Muhlenberg College offers over 120 student clubs and organizations! Some of our organizations require an audition or an invitation of membership prior to joining the organization. Academic Organizations
Accounting Society: The Accounting Society at Muhlenberg is a club designed for not only accounting majors but all ABEF majors who have an interest in accounting as a profession. The club covers current topics, CPA exam review, and hosts guest speakers so students can gain real world experience.
Biology Club: A club for anyone interested in Biology. Majors and non majors are welcome!
Chemistry/Biochemistry Club: Our organization provides members with information regarding professional life after graduating Muhlenberg with a Bachelor's of Science. Chemistry seminar and receptions are held with professionals with a Chemistry degree, allowing members to make connections with the professional world. Lastly, chemistry demonstrations are held to highlight the chemistry that occurs in everyday life as well as in the laboratory.
Computer Science Society: The object and purpose of the Computer Science Society shall be to promote learning and utilizing computer science skills, get opportunities to meet professionals in technical positions, and overall build a strong academic community for CS Students at Muhlenberg College.
Education Collective: The Education Collective is an organization meant to create connections for people with a passion for education at Muhlenberg. We offer a support system and resources for people on the education track while also offering broader perspectives and events for people interested in education as a whole. We do this all while maintaining relationships with the local Lehigh Valley school districts through book drives and volunteer programs.
Math Club: Math Club is dedicated to the further learning of mathematics, as well as fostering an interaction among students, faculty, and alumni through various activities.
Model United Nations: With the Model United Nations Club, we hope to establish a space on campus for students to learn about the United Nations and develop understandings of International Relations. In our ever-changing world, it is essential for us to develop our understanding of global affairs and developments. Our goal is to help students learn about the United Nations and strengthen their communication and problem-solving skills.
Muhlenberg Chapter of the Association of Women in Mathematics: The object and purpose of the AWM shall be to encourage women and girls to study, to have active careers in the mathematical sciences, and to promote equal opportunity and treatment of women and girls in the mathematical sciences.
Physics & Astronomy Club: The Muhlenberg College Physics & Astronomy Club offers a supportive and engaging community for students passionate about physics and astronomy. We provide academic resources, social events, and opportunities for educational outreach to inspire and educate both our members and the broader Muhlenberg community.
Pre-Dental Club: Th Pre-Dental Club aims to uplift students interested in pursuing a career in dentistry, as well as empower members of the Allentown community through educational opportunities in oral health and hygiene.
Pre-Law Club: The pre-law club is a community of Muhlenberg students who are interested in attending law school. We hold regular meetings to talk about different aspects of the application process as well as having guest speakers come to talk about different aspects of the legal field.
Women in Business
Women in STEM at Muhlenberg: Women in STEM Club will provide a supportive environment for people that have been underrepresented in fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It is designed to promote greater recognition of the contributions of women in STEM fields.
Advocacy Organizations
BergVotes: Nonpartisan and nationally recognized, BergVotes is a student-run organization whose mission on campus is to raise political awareness and increase civic engagement on Muhlenberg’s campus.
Body Positivity Group: Shaping our mind and embracing our body. Focused on body acceptance, self love, and relationships with food.
Feminist Collective and Students for Reproductive Justice: The purpose of The Feminist Collective is to raise awareness about the ways in which systems of power and inequality in relation to gender inform our campus community and the world at large as well as to provide a safe space for its membership. Students for Reproductive Justice (SRJ) is a group dedicated to fighting for reproductive rights for all and creating a sex-positive environment.
enACT (Environmental Action Team): enACT (the Environmental Action Team) is Muhlenbergs’ official club for community-wide education, action and engagement for the intersectional environmental movement. We advocate for sustainable practice through club-based events as well as collaboration with different campus groups. Join us in (en)ACTION!
Jewish Voice for Palestinian Liberation: A space for Jewish students who feel alienated by Zionism. A space for advocacy for the end of the war on Gaza and a more sustainable peace for the future of everybody living between the river and the sea.
Muhlenberg College Democrats: Muhlenberg College Democrats are focused on political action, organization, and bringing together a community of like-minded individuals seeking to unite on the values of social justice and equality for everyone. We aim to take action and enact change in our society by engaging with the democratic party on both the campus and local level.
Mental Health Peer Advocates: Mental Health Peer Advocates aim to empower, advocate and support fellow peers in wellness and mental health by 1) Empowering all individuals to take control of their mental health through programming, general meetings, and events, 2) Supporting and providing resources to students, 3) Educating on mental health topics 4) Advocating for students’ mental health and for the college to provide appropriate resources.
Muhlenberg Disability Advocacy Group (MDAG): Muhlenberg Disability Advocacy Group (or MDAG) is a group that supports and advocates for students with disabilities on campus, along with providing a safe space to discuss larger social issues of disability awareness. All students are welcome to join, regardless of disability status. We are working towards raising awareness of any and all disabilities, alongside making Muhlenberg a more accessible place for all.
Planned Parenthood Generation Action: A club associated with Planned Parenthood, focused on sexual health advocacy and volunteering at Allentown's local clinic.
Plant-Based Advocates: We are a group of students working together to: 1) improve and expand the plant-based options available at campus dining locations through close collaboration with dining staff at weekly meetings. 2) spread awareness about how a plant-based diet helps the environment, the lives of animals, and our health. 3) provide support for new plant-based eaters/vegans/vegetarians.
Red Cross Club: Supporting the American Red Cross mission, to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors, the Muhlenberg College American Red Cross club aims to provide our peers with opportunities to make a difference by addressing the community's greatest needs and developing leadership skills.
Student Government Association (SGA): The mission of Muhlenberg College’s Student Government Association is to engage with, advocate for, and relay information to the greater Muhlenberg community. SGA is the primary bridge between Muhlenberg administration and the student body, encouraging conversation and collaboration in order to create necessary changes and prioritize student needs.
Students for Queer Advocacy (SQuAd): Squad is a safe place for queer students at Muhlenberg to meet up. We discuss queer life both on and off campus.
Women in Politics: Women in Politics will be used as a resource and supportive group for women, who are traditionally underrepresented in the field. The club seeks to show members potential career paths available in politics and law, and empower them in their pursuit. We also provide education on different political topics, especially those of interest to women, and offer a non-partisan, safe environment to discuss the ever-evolving political world we live in.
Academic Honor Societies
Alpha Epsilon Delta: Alpha Epsilon Delta is the pre-health honor society on campus. We host bi-weekly meetings that prepare people for their journeys in the healthcare field.
Kappa Kappa Psi: We are a National Honorary Band Service Fraternity dedicated to musicianship, leadership, and brotherhood.
Psi Chi: The purpose of the PSI CHI is to allow Muhlenberg students interested in the field of psychology to meet and participate in psychology related activities. PSI CHI shall be dedicated to increasing member knowledge in the field of psychology through related lectures, field trips, and other activities.
Athletic Organizations
Badminton: Berg Badminton aims to provide a space where students can come together to play badminton, both competitively and casually, regardless of skill level.
Cheerleading: Cheerleaders have the honor and responsibility of creating a strong sense of school pride and elevating spirit within their school and community through five key roles - Crowd Leader, Spirit Raiser, Ambassador, Athlete, and Entertainer.
Fencing Club: The 'Berg Fencing Club is a fun, all-inclusive place for students and faculty to enjoy the sport of fencing. The club is intended for those with any skill level, starting from the basics for those who have never fenced in their life, to those who have been fencing for years and would like to bout with others.
Head in the Game: Founded by Joel Hark '22 and Natalie Smith '22, Head in the Game serves as a community for 'Berg student-athletes to be vulnerable and have tough conversations surrounding mental health. Head in the Game, which launched in 2021, recognizes that student-athletes from all sports face challenges with things like time management, perfectionism and performance anxiety and provides a space for bonding, venting and learning how to cope.
Intramural Soccer: Intramural Soccer is a club where students gather to play soccer and have fun. Without the competition of leagues and scorekeeping, we can focus on creating a welcoming environment to all who love the sport.
Intramural Volleyball: Come play Volleyball in a relaxed environment! All skill levels are welcome!
Muhlenberg Athletic Leadership Team (MALT): The Muhlenberg Athletic Leadership Team (MALT) connects surrounding communities with campus athletics and educate student-athletes about important social issues and how they can take action to make a difference in their community.
Rock Climbing Club: Muhlenberg Rock Climbing Club is a club open to anyone who wants to try rock climbing whether you have experience or not! We run a few trips each week to a local climbing gym and welcome all new members with open arms!
Swim Club: Muhlenberg Swim Club functions as an opportunity for Muhlenberg swimmers of any level to use swimming as an outlet for fitness and socializing! Swim Club started as a way for former competitive swimmers to continue doing what they love without the competitive aspect, having practices to stay strong and having fun in the pool.
Ultimate Frisbee Club: Learn and play one of the most popular club sports in the nation! For all skill levels!
Winter Sports Club: The Winter Sports club engages in a variety of winter sports including skiing/snowboarding, tubing, and ice-skating. People of all experience are welcome here!
Campus Ministry Organizations
ABIDE: Abide is committed to proclaiming the good news of the Heavenly Kingdom and supporting the Christian identity, community and experience. To teach, baptize, and nurture new believers. To respond to believers’ needs through a loving and teaching service. To highlight the collective desire to move forward within the faith, by embodying the fruits of the spirit and uplifting each other's unique calling within the body.
Berg Hillel: Muhlenberg College Hillel’s mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish students so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. To achieve our mission and vision, our work focuses on core facets of Jewish life including Jewish learning, holiday and Shabbat celebration, arts and culture and building a meaningful, ongoing relationship with Israel. Hillel supports students’ spiritual growth and wellness, promotes leadership development and empowers students to make an impact on the broader community. Hillel builds relationships that promote understanding among diverse groups, advocates for Jewish students, and strives to ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere on campus.
Bridges: The mission of this organization is dedicated towards hosting a space for students to learn about various faiths and faith practices. Recognizing that a plethora of religious and cultural affinity organizations exist on the Muhlenberg College campus, Bridges has a mission of bringing these communities together over a shared interest in interfaith work and learning about the other. This organization seeks to invite a diverse group of students from a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures, and religions to enlighten the space with their personal experiences and learn more about what makes our religiously-diverse community beautiful.
Catholic Campus Ministry: Catholic Campus Ministry, a ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Allentown, seeks to assist students of Muhlenberg and Cedar Crest Colleges to deepen their faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ. CCM provides an environment in which students of the Catholic Faith are invited to share and express their faith by engaging with other members in liturgical worship, devotions, fellowship, and community.
Chabad
Chapel Club: An organization for the Egner Chapel community and the greater community on campus to get together in fellowship and community! Events are announced all the time, so we encourage everyone on campus to stop by to see what we're all about!
DiscipleMakers Christian Fellowship: DCF is a club where we aim to help students learn more about the person of Jesus, grow deeper in their relationship with God, and be equipped to live out their faith during their college years and for years to come.
Community Engagement Organizations
Magical Memories: Magical Memories is a volunteer character visitation club that runs out of the OCE. We fit our volunteers for our line of princess, superhero, and Pixar costumes (which are size and gender inclusive) and invite volunteers to use their own personal costumes so we can dress up and attend children's functions in the Lehigh Valley. We aim to connect with the community both on and off campus through magical engagement.
Muhlenberg College EMS (MCEMS): Muhlenberg College EMS (MCEMS) is a PA-state certified quick response unit that provides basic life support and emergency medical care to the Muhlenberg College community. MCEMS is also involved in a plethora of community engagement activities such as educational outreach, event standbys, and tabling efforts.
Cultural and Identity Organizations
African Student Organization: The African Students Organization (ASO) celebrates African culture and heritage through first experiences and history. One of our goals is to bring to campus what being African truly means to us, providing the opportunity for people in the diaspora to reconnect with their ancestry, and to dismantle the colonial misconceptions about the continent Africa and its people. ASO allows African and African descent students to share their culture, mentor one another, and establish solidarity. ASO strives to create a welcoming and inclusive space for all African and African descent students, regardless of their background or heritage. While African students and students of African descent are our priority, our doors are still open to all who want to learn more about Africa, its traditions or simply celebrate the culture with us. The African Student Organization is all about building community, diversity, and honoring culture.
Asian Student Association (ASA): The Asian Student Association at Muhlenberg exists to create a safe space for Asian/Asian-American students along with students of Asian descent. It strives to help promote Asian cultures and values on campus by paying tribute to festivals and traditions.
Black Students Association: Black Students Association: The Black Students Association (BSA) prioritizes the experiences of persons of African heritage and persons of color while focusing on social justice and creating an equitable environment. We foster an environment where Black kids may thrive, honor the history and traditions of the African Diaspora, and offer a secure setting for talking about one's experiences. To further our objectives, the BSA also actively participates in political action, plans social gatherings, encourages community engagement, while also engaging in community service. BSA is devoted to creating a safe and vulnerable environment in which students can feel inclusion & belonging, all the while freely being themselves.
Comunidad: Saludos! We are Comunidad. Our affinity group is focused on creating a community between Latine/x students on campus and our allies. We strive for an inclusive environment while also supporting a safe space for students who identify as Latine/x, Hispanic, Caribbean, and Lusófono/a. Our goal is to remind Muhlenberg that we are here, we are present, we are valid.
French Club/Le Cercle Français: Le Cercle Français is dedicated to encouraging and supporting all French-related studies and interests, as well as to acquaint students with the French language, French and Francophone cultures, histories, and ways of life. Le Cercle Français aims to create interest in and understanding of the peoples and cultures of French-speaking countries and regions throughout the world.
International Students Association: The ISA is an organization that promotes international students and their backgrounds on campus. Its goal is to work towards diversity and inclusion within the Muhlenberg community. ISA organizes activities on campus highlighting the international students' cultures through music, food and art.
Italian Club: The Italian Club is a celebration of all things Italian: the language, the art, the history, the holidays, and- of course- the food! The club hosts events that provide Muhlenberg students opportunities to both learn about and engage in Italian culture, from cheese and olive oil tastings to Scopa nights! And of course, no prior knowledge of the Italian language or Italian ancestry is required to join!
Mayhem Step Team: The Mayhem Step Team is a dance group that performs Step-- an African dance style comprised of body percussion, claps, and call and response. We are an inclusive community dedicated to sharing the empowerment of Step!
Men of Color Network: The purpose of the organization is to: create a on-campus space for African-American and Afro-latinx males (students, faculty, and staff), allowing, embracing and supporting the various expressions representative of their most salient identities, which it has been statistically and qualitatively proven to be oppressed by certain systems operating on a societal level and in educational settings.
Middle Eastern Student Association (MESA): Middle Eastern Student Association (MESA): Marhaba! Muhlenberg’s Middle Eastern Student Association (MESA) is committed to fostering a safe environment for underrepresented Arabs and Middle Eastern students. MESA aims to educate others about our diverse culture, music, food, and beautiful languages. MESA members are committed to promote unity through the appreciation of the Middle East’s history, traditions, and contemporary influences.
Muhlenberg Israeli Dance Troupe: The Muhlenberg Israeli Dance Troupe is a preforming troupe that showcases Israeli culture and dance, from pre-Israeli times to today. The Troupe aims to preform at multiple shows throughout the year, including a large Israeli Dance festival in March.
Muslim Students Association (MSA): The Muslim Student Association (MSA) of Muhlenberg College is dedicated to the mission of advocating for Muslim students and providing a space for them to share their values and cultures. Organized with the goal of furthering the excellence of Muslim students in leadership on campus, the MSA seeks to provide an opportunity for Muslim students to further enlighten the Muhlenberg College community with the Islamic faith, as well as its faith belief system, set of values, customs and rituals.
SOL - Dances of the Latin and Caribbean Soul: SOL’s goal is to choreograph and create pieces that explore dances created by different Latin and Caribbean cultures, and to teach those who take part in the dance about the world they stem from. Samba, Merengue, Bachata, Salsa, and much more! Join us!
Spanish Club: The Spanish Club is an academic, cultural, and service‐oriented group on campus. We are dedicated to furthering the student body’s understanding of Hispanic and Latin American cultures through various activities both on and off campus.
Russian and Eastern European Club: The Russian and Eastern European Club serves as a space of community for students of Eastern European descent and for learning about the Russian Language and Eastern European cultures.
South Asian Students Association : We are Muhlenberg College’s South Asian (SA) multicultural group. Our vision is to create a space for conversations that center around the SA experience and dismantle stereotypes/barriers as well as provide our SA students with a welcoming community. Through cultural discussions, celebrations, food, music, and dance, we hope to build a more inclusive, culturally-aware environment. By celebrating various South Asian festivals on campus, we hope to create more awareness in the community and provide spaces for those who celebrate.
Students Of Caribbean Ancestry: Students Of Caribbean Ancestry (SOCA) is committed to uplifting and supporting the Caribbean identity, community and experience. SOCA cultivates the space for students to explore their backgrounds and connect with others who share the same or similar experiences and interests.
QTPOCC: The club is intended to give queer and trans people of color a safe and mindful space to gather, chat, and have fun while also discussing identity and curiosity through educational events, meetings, group gatherings, and celebrations.
Women of Color Collective: Women of Color Collective (WCC) strives to empower and support women of color through programs and events on and off campus. Although our purpose is specifically uplifting women of color, WCC’s programming and events are open to all female-identifying people to be in community and dialogue with another.
Alpha Chi Omega: Alpha Chi Omega, the Zeta Chi Chapter, is an active sorority at Muhlenberg College. This organization engages with the Allentown community and supports the women at Turning Point who have experienced interpersonal violence. Our organization strives to uplift all women and create strong bonds within the sorority.
Alpha Epsilon Pi: Alpha Epsilon Pi is a Fraternity that centers around brotherhood and Jewish faith. They received their formal charter in the fall of 2021 making them an official international chapter.
Alpha Tau Omega: The Alpha Iota Chapter of The Alpha Tau Omega fraternity was established here at Muhlenberg College in 1881 which makes it the oldest fraternity on campus! We are a driven group of young men who strive for academic excellence, and meaningful memories.
Delta Tau Delta: Delta Tau Delta, Theta Chi Chapter is consisted of men who live lives of excellence. We are respected and accomplished leaders on Muhlenberg’s campus through our presence in the arts, STEM, sports, and so much more. Our chapter fundraises for JDRF (Junior Diabetes Research Foundation)!
Delta Zeta: Delta Zeta: Xi Iota chapter was founded on October 27, 1984 at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. We are a sisterhood, and our purpose is to unite our members in the bonds of sincere and lasting friendship, to stimulate one another in the pursuit of knowledge, to promote the moral and social culture of its members, and to develop plans for guidance and unity in action; objects worthy of the highest aim and purpose of associated effort.
Interfraternity Council: The Interfraternity Council serves as the governing body for the social fraternities on campus. Organizations overseen are: Alpha Tau Omega, Alpha Epsilon Pi, Delta Tau Delta, and Zeta Beta Tau. The council, also known as "IFC", works closely with the Panhellenic Council, Student Life, and the Muhlenberg Community to work towards philanthropic and communal goals by supporting and upholding the principles that are most important to Muhlenberg.
Panhellenic Council: The Panhellenic Council is the governing body of our four National Panhellenic Council sororities on campus: Alpha Chi Omega (AXO), Delta Zeta (DZ), Phi Mu, and Phi Sigma Sigma. We strive to cultivate connection and community among all four organizations to make an incredible sorority life experience for every member.
Phi Mu: Phi Mu Fraternity, founded in 1852, is an organization which provides personal and academic development, service to others, commitment to excellence and lifelong friendship through a shared tradition. Phi Mu’s philanthropy is Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
Phi Sigma Sigma: Phi Sigma Sigma, founded in 1913 is one of the four active Panhellenic Greek organizations at Muhlenberg College. The sorority is dedicated to philanthropic efforts in school and college readiness by partnering with a local elementary school in the Allentown area. Phi Sig is committed to its involvement within and outside the Muhlenberg community while also strengthening the bonds of our sisterhood and creating long lasting relationships.
Zeta Beta Tau: The Zeta Beta Tau: Alpha Nu chapter consists of a strong brotherhood of outstanding men. Our brothers have a wide variety of interests and backgrounds, and involve themselves all across campus as leaders and contributors to the Muhlenberg community. We also host fun philanthropy events year round, where we work with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Gift of Life, and Jewish Women's International to support their programs!
Media Organizations
Berg Production: The Berg Production team serves as a resource for student organizations and student facing events and is able to provide high-level technical support for events, including lighting, sound, microphones, equipment support, and more! Through this process, members of the organization are able to gain skills in supporting live events with lighting and sound equipment.
The Muhlenberg Weekly: Since 1883, The Muhlenberg Weekly has been the official, independent student-run newspaper of Muhlenberg College. The staff of The Weekly will strive to cover important topics affecting the Muhlenberg College Community, which includes students, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents. The Weekly will be an open forum where all students are able to contribute and voice their opinions, regardless of experience or involvement with the newspaper.
WMUH: WMUH, the radio station at Muhlenberg College, broadcasts over the air as well as online. We offer student and community members a chance to present a variety of ideas, art and voices, unlike any in the area.
Performance Organizations
AcaFellas: The Muhlenberg AcaFellas are Muhlenberg's all-male, gender fluid, and non-binary identifying a cappella group dedicated to creating great music and having a great time doing it. From silly dances to beautiful songs, the "fellas" strive to create an uplifting, positive community of singers, beatboxers, and all-around talents.
A Cappella Council: A council made up of representatives from each of Muhlenberg's 6 a cappella groups that works to foster communication and collaboration between them.
A-Town Records Music Association: A-Town Records aspires to act as a unifying body for Muhlenberg musicians to connect and collaborate on musical projects and performances. We also strive to provide student musicians with resources, educational opportunities, and creative outlets, while creating spaces for the student body to participate in music making in formal and informal settings.
BergImmersive: BergImmersive is a student-run, student-produced theatre club subverting the Muhlenberg community’s expectations of a traditional performance experiences. Our club produces works that are in some way or another untraditional, whether that be through staging, interpretation, or medium. BergImmersive is the perfect space to experiment with “theatre” as an event.
Chaimonics: The Muhlenberg Chaimonics are Muhlenberg’s only Jewish-based a capella group! We sing songs in Hebrew and songs by Jewish artists as a core part of our repertoire. While we have strong Jewish roots and connections to Jewish organizations on and off the Muhlenberg campus, you do not need to be Jewish to become a part of the Chai family!
CODA: An acapella group for all women, genderfluid, and nonbinary bodies on campus - a safe place to sing with a group of people who feel like family!
Copacetic Rhythms: The Copacetic Rhythms is a student-run tap dance group that performs in campus events, allowing for students to practice the art of tap dance in a casual and friendly setting. They also allow for students on campus to grow the tap dance community.
Damsels in Excess: Damsels in Excess is an improv and sketch comedy group comprised of non-cis male comedians. The group existing in sketch comedy--a genre historically dominated by cisgender men--means they are giving ourselves permission to take up space in the comedy realm. They use this space to focus on topics that center cisgender women, transgender folks, and non-binary people, to enforce joyous, safe creative spaces, and to focus on political realms that are important to them. In their sketches, they often incorporate feminist and queer lenses.
Dynamics: The Dynamics are Muhlenberg College's first and oldest co-ed a capella group, founded in 1989. Our repertoire features a variety of genres including pop, rock, and indie songs. We record albums every couple of years which can be found on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music!
Fun with Science: What is Fun With Science? Imagine SNL but every other sketch is about freshmen dorms or the fragile balance between student athletes and arts students at Muhlenberg. Whether it's on stage or on screen, Fun With Science has a sketch that's sure to make you laugh!
GASP: The object and purpose of GASP is to create music with good musicianship that preserves the era of The Great American Songbook (defined as 1920’s to the 1960’s) while showcasing all member’s unique talents. The group's mission also includes outreach performances and being a broader part of the Muhlenberg and Lehigh Valley community.
Inacchord: Muhlenberg College's R&B a cappella group.
Mint Hip Hop Dance Team: Mint Hip Hop Dance Team is a group of both experienced and unexperienced hip hop dancers that come together to move, grove, and have fun. We love to bring people together through dance and creating a safe place for people to express themselves!
Muhlenberg Comedy Association (MCA): The Muhlenberg Comedy Association is a student organization dedicated to the support of all comedy-based ensembles of Muhlenberg College. We are here to provide spaces and structure for any comedy group to be supported and given all of the necessary materials needed to freely create funny art. In addition, we hope to spread laughter in our community through comedy performances.
Muhlenberg Dance Association (MDA): The Muhlenberg Dance Association is a student-run organization that is dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive community of performers, choreographers, artists, and audiences. We provide students with educational and personal growth opportunities that enrich the greater dance community through service and production of dance across multiple platforms.
Muhlenberg Improv Association (MIA): The Muhlenberg Improv Association (also known as MIA) is one of six comedy groups hosted under the Muhlenberg Comedy Association! We are Muhlenberg's short-form comedic improvisation group, meaning that we do short, snappy, witty, game-like comedy (think, "Who's Line is it Anyway?"). We have 3 shows per semester, and accept new members every fall!
Muhlenberg Theatre Association (MTA): The Muhlenberg Theatre Association provides opportunities to create and attend a variety of engaging performances, events, and educational opportunities. The mission of the MTA is to enrich the campus and the local community with theatrical experiences. A co-curricular, non-partisan club, our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all forms of expression.
Muhlenberg TIC (The Improv Club): The object and purpose of the THING (The Hebdomadal Improv Named Group) shall be to provide a space for Muhlenberg students and staff to participate in and learn about improv without auditioning. This shall be done by means of improv games, skills, and other venues as the club decides fit.
Noteworthy A Cappella: Noteworthy A Cappella is a movie musical and Broadway-based a cappella group.
Pep Band: Muhlenberg Pep Band is a student-run music ensemble that performs at home football games, home basketball games, and other celebration and events. There are no requirements to join us in terms of experience, and we rehearse once a week! Check us out on Instagram @muhlenbergpepband
Perkulators: The Perkulators are an auditioned jazz dance team who perform at various sporting and community events.
Poised Ivy: Poised Ivy is a Majorette Dance Team on Muhlenberg's Campus started in 2022 by POC. PI was created to generate new dance culture on the campus so everyone feels represented. The team encompasses discoveries of life lessons, lessons of oneself's hidden abilities, empowerment, and overall a sisterhood where everyone feels safe and is welcomed.
SIT: SIT is Muhlenberg's stand-up comedy group! Throughout the semester, we put on two to three comedy shows, open mics, and other fun events with the MCA!
Songsycle: We are a dynamic group of musical theatre singers and actors who perform solos, duets, and group numbers in concert twice a semester! Our rehearsals function as workshops in which members rehearse their songs and receive notes and feedback from one another.
To Be Determined (TBD): To Be Determined (TBD) is Muhlenberg’s only musical improv comedy group! We created a fully improvised musical in under an hour based on audience suggestions. Vaudeville Club: Vaudeville aims to teach and perform circus arts at events on campus.
Special Interest Organizations
American Sign Language Club: The Muhlenberg ASL Club is an organization where students can learn American Sign Language. It also strives to raise awareness and learn about Deaf/Hard of Hearing culture and its community.
Board Game Association: Board game club is a low commited orginazation that meets weekly to play old and new Board Games. Our goal is to expose people to games they might not have tried while also making a welcoming environment for people to make friends to game with.
Book Nook: We're a community of book lovers who discuss book recommendations, watch movie adaptations, and fundraise for book-related organizations! We are also very open to collaborations with other clubs, as shown with our collabs with EnAct, Femco, and MAC.
Chess Club: The Muhlenberg College Chess Club aims to provide a space for Muhlenberg students and staff to play the great game of chess, socialize, and enjoy food/refreshments.
Coloring on Chew St.: Coloring on Chew St. is a club where students come together and make friends and destress from the semester with coloring!
FiBerg Arts: FiBerg Arts is a place for experienced and aspiring fiber artists to create together! We provide all supplies and instruction for beginners.
Flour Power Baking Club: As Muhlenberg's baking club we meet and make sweet treats! We are open to all experience levels!
Harry Potter Club: Muhlenberg's Harry Potter Club strives to create a place where people can discuss, enjoy, and learn more about the Harry Potter franchise. The club is meant for anyone & everyone, ranging from people who know little about the series and would like to learn, to the best Aurors and dark wizards looking to connect with other Potterheads.
Historical Dress Society: Do you want to dress up an have a tea party, go to a disco, or play Victorian parlor games? We want to foster a love for dress history through community, crafting, and fun!
Investment Society: We run around 1 million dollars of the college's endowment fund and give students an opportunity to get some real experiences for portfolio alignment.
Jewelry Making Club: The Jewelry Making Club allows students to learn skills to enable them to create jewelry out of metal. Working on techniques like sawing, soldering, beading, and more it is a great outlet for self expression through jewelry!
K-Pop Club (KPC): KPC is a space where people that have an interest in Kpop or are interested in learning more about Kpop can come to talk about the latest news, groups they are interested in, and upcoming debuts and comebacks. Other activities include learning K-Pop choreography for fun, random play dances, and more!
Mock Trial: Every year a new case is released. Together we work to create both a defense and prosecution case. Using these cases, we attend invitationals, scrimmages, and official AMTA competitions. Through this club, we develop public speaking skills, acting skills, and legal writing skills. Up to ten members per team are able
to compete but we work together as a team all year!
Muhlenberg Activities Council (MAC): The purpose of this organization shall be to improve the quality of diverse social programming and campus life at the college, to creatively program and encourage opportunities for participating in all social, cultural, and extracurricular activities on a campus community basis for all students and to serve as a recommending body to the administration in areas affecting Muhlenberg student life.
Muhlenberg Film Association: An organization for both film lovers and film makers to meet, work together, and celebrate all things film. We have opportunities for those interested in production and film analysis.
Myths N Mules: Hear ye, hear ye, we are Myths N Mules, the Dungeons & Dragons club on campus! Our primary goal as a club is to connect prospective players with dungeon masters, and to make the process of learning and playing D&D quick and easy! We also hold various events per semester, such as workshops, our biannual Super Smash Bros tournament, and more!
Outdoors Club: The Muhlenberg Outdoors Club is an outdoors group that intends to provide students of all skill levels and experiences with outdoor activities. The club plans an array of fun and affordable wilderness engagement experiences including but not limited to hiking, camping, and mountain biking in order to engage students with the surrounding nature and community.
Pokémon Club: The 'Berg Pokémon Club strives to create a place where people can discuss, enjoy, and learn more about the Pokémon franchise (including the video games, Pokémon Go, and the trading card game). The club is meant for anyone & everyone, ranging from people who know little about Pokémon and would like to learn, to Pokémon connoisseurs looking to connect with other like-minded Pokémon-lovers.
Wall Street Club: Our goal is to bridge the gap in education between the classroom and professional world regarding the financial industry. We attempt to prepare students to find opportunities for both internships and careers.
Young Poets Society: Young Poets Society aims to create a space for people interested in poetry to come together to appreciate, create and reflect on poetry, language and just have fun. The main goal is to celebrate poetry and poets, encourage and help nurture different styles of writing that cater to the interests of our members, and hopefully erase fear and stigma around poetry being intimidating or unnecessarily "deep".
